Hard as it may seem to believe, there are two people who are called
"Michael Harris" reading this echo, and you are each going to get the other's
mail. This echo is on a network that spans the entire planet, you know, and
no one has exclusive rights to a name. There are no "accounts" once your
messages leave the bulletin board system on which they originate.

Well, some of his reasons could be that:
- the DOS version is MUCH faster;
- the learning curve to go into the programming side of the DOS version is a
very gentle slope, as compared with several weeks of training and study to
use ObjectPAL. (I know. I'm trying to learn ObjectPal myself now.)
- you need faster computers with more memory and disk space to run Windows
software well. That's true for any graphics-based program--look at how much
bigger Paradox for DOS 4.0 or 4.5 is than version 3.5. Most of that is just
to get pretty windows and that cute mouse to work. Look at the code required
to be added to a PAL application to find out if the mouse is in or out of the
window, whether anyone is pressing a button, all that "event" trapping stuff
we never had to notice before. It all takes up memory and disk space. Then
you need a better memory manager, a built-in disk cache, and who knows what
else? Like the Model T Ford, the old software was simpler. On the other
hand, it did less.
