Well I'll soon go back to sticking my head under the hose again.. I'm 
riding/working anywhere up to 5 horses right now.

Well I typically got screwed on my truck.. couldn't find a replacement so I 
bought the best I could find.. a little Toy Corolla with reasonable
mileage.. it'll have to do..

Well she's probably 14+ hands at her rump..  however she now LOOKS like a 
small horse instead of a baby.

She is.. however... she's turned into a mare yesterday. I was watching it and 
just about fell over when I saw it.
 
She was out with Straw.. and Straw was milding bullying her around as usual.. 
however she's been having a really serious heat... and she got ornery..and 
turned around and really nailed Straw in the chest. From that time on through 
the rest of that turn out.. she was alpha..  and she's started playing little 
mare's game with him.. like teasing him.
 
I've also noticed she's just turned a tad more independent...  I tend to 
think her baby days are about over.. ;) 
 
Today I got there late.. but spent as much time as I could doing everything I
could  with her short of saddling up (back acting up)...
 
We lunged (a little), we drove tonight, turned her out with Straw, etc etc 
etc.. and we even working at clipped her socks.. this is something she hasn't 
learned to tolerate yet.. so we've started on that. But she had an edge that 
hasn't been there before. So again.. I tend to think I now have a mare on my 
hands instead of a Filly.. ;)

CJ nickers.. and watches EVERYTHING like a hawk.. ;)
 
Since I have to keep things light till the shoer gets back I spent a 
reasonable amount of time with her, mild lunge.. turn out and playing get dem 
itchies! ;)
 
She's also finshing up the worst heat I've seen her in since she was breed..
