Bell Atlantic / Nynex Mobile turned on their CDMA system yesterday in Boston. 
The digital system has caller id included at no additional charge. They have 
also setup a different rate structure for digital phones. The daytime rates 
are about 10 cents a minute cheaper than the comparable analog plan.
No distinction is made between peak and offpeak, the rates are the same. I 
think they may be trying to compete directly with Nextel as Nextel in the 
Boston market does not differentiate between peak and offpeak.
One plan on the new digital system includes 1000 minutes of use, it sells for 
$259 a month, additional minutes are 20 cents.
