A really nice ending to the conversation... what the heck is this?

I'm not saying that someone said that it is carved into the stone that
women must be mothers. I'm not saying that.

I'm saying that a lot of people out there act like women must have children.

For an example:

A young couple get married. The first question would be, "when are
you going to have kids?"

Even when the couple in question don't want kids, the comments would be
something like, "once you have kids, you'll change your mind", or
"you will be a wonderful mother!"

If a woman starts dating a man, and a man wants children, sometimes that's
enough to scare the woman in question away. I can tell you that because
when my first boyfriend started talking about wanting kids, he scared me
away.

So the traditional question would be, "When are you going to have
kids? I'd love to be a grandmother".

Oh sheesh, get over it already. I'm tired of explaining the concept of
motherhood versus fatherhood.

Mother would be the one taking care of the children, cleaning the house,
washing clothes, the chores go on...

Father would go to work 9am to 5pm, come home, expect dinner and clean
house as well as nice, obedient children. When dinner is over, Father goes
sit int he living room, leaving the cleaning up job to Mother.

In my opinion, Father gets twice as free time as Mother does and some
people actually wonder why some of us don't want children.

Number one: We don't have the money to raise a child. According to a
survey in the newspapers in Canada, we would be paying over $100,000 to
raise a child and I'm sure most of us don't have the luxury to even take
the child to Disneyland and that child will throw a temper tantrum until we
magically coughs up the money so we can take the child to the magic land
just so the child will shut up.

I don't get why you think having children is the most wonderful thing. To
me, it's not. It's a lot of expenses, a lot of taking care of, and more.

Well, unlike some women who keep getting abortion after another and not
having protected sex, leading to unwanted children, I do have common sense.
I've never had an abortion and to tell you the truth, even though I'm a
pro-choicer, I wouldn't go through with an abortion. Instead, I will
arrange for a private adoption so once the child is born, the child is out
of my hands and into a more loving environment.

Now before you go on that all pro-choicers have no hearts, cruel, etc...
think about this one; how many pro-choicers would give their children up
for adoption if they cannot take care of the children instead of having
them aborted? My mother taught me that it is important to give something
to parents that they can't have.

Yes, I support the women's right to choose but I also support the idea of
adoption, rather than abortion. It's every woman's decision and yes, I
agree with the doctors. Having an abortion is one of the hardest decisions
that most women have to make and some actually have to go through it.

So please be a little more understanding and stop thinking that all
pro-choicers are murderers because if I ever get pregnant (which I doubt I
would due to infertility problem that I've had long before I have my tubes
snipped), I would carry the fetus to full term and give the chld up.

Thank you.
