Go to another store. don't count bottom fish? They
also consume oxygen, some catfish do take a air
bubble from top to bottom, but not all.
Can you ask the store for the name of the reference book
they use? I would like to have a good laugh,
understand, I am amused by the store, nothing to do with you.
LW> remains. When the zebra die I will replenish with the neons. We have
LW> one catfish, and two other bottom fish, I believe 3 Zebra and 1 neon.
LW> I believe the store said 8 -10 total not counting bottom fish. We
LW> can't afford a bigger tank at the present time.
Bottom fish if not corys which are one of the ones that
take down air bubbles, consume oxygen, they SHOULD
be counted when figuring out the max capacity
the 10 gal can hold, ideally, should have
only enough fish to match it's "hold"
capacity WITHOUT any air pumps, that way if have
a blackout/power fail, no fish lost cause of
too little dissolved 02.
Print this and hand to whomever told you not to
count bottom fish.
