The Meeces (Rich, Michael & I) have returned from the Disneyana Convention
at WDW!  Michael/FDC Meecelet got to meet veteran Disney animator/Imagineer
Marc Davis and have his photograph taken with Mr. Davis.  We were picked to
be grand marshals of the Mickey Mania Parade at Magic Kingdom, kinda neat
since this parade is about to enter the Disney History books to allow the
25th Anniversary parade to come online October 1.  And Meecelet got his
first haircut at the Harmony Barber Shop on Main Street USA:  They give
children who have their first haircuts there a signed and dated certificate
to memorialize the event and a mouse-eared hat with stitching "First
Haircut".
Banquet entertainment included Jodi "Voice of Ariel, The Little Mermaid"
Benson and actor and recent Disney animated feature film voice artist David
Ogden Steirs.
Meecelet loved the walk-arounds, the plusher the better, and he adored
Chip and Dale the best!  We rode Small World, Dumbo and the Caroussel twice,
skyway, Pirates, the train, Peter Pan, Snow White and teacups once, and
we saw a lot of walk arounds.  Interesting to see Rafiki and Timon one
day doing the macarena together at a walk around greet area. ;-)
We're in the process of catching up on news and mail and laundry and grocery
buying now that we are home, so bear with us for a day or two while we
catch up on things.
Quick thing here:  Brace for an onslaught of Dalmatian related merchandise!
Lots of it at WDW.  Mattel is coming out with a "Barbie"-type doll of
Cruella deVille that is a remarkable likeness of Glenn Close in the role,
it I think will be very collectible.  Disney Stores this Christmas will
have a lot of Dalmatian stuff, including a Kanine Krunchies cookie jar
and Dalmatian Christmas cards.  This from the Disneyana Convention.  Enjoy!
