From what I've seen, Win95 has a lot of programs that all do the same thing,
IMO. OS/2 does everything I need, and *far* more effeciently than Win95 ever
could. Remember, Win95 is *not* a true OS. It still runs on top of DOS.
you are back to DOS and DOS/FAT limitations.
Plus, the upgrades! OS/2 is backwards compatible! Programs for OS/2 1.0
still run on OS/2 4.0! What happens when MicroSoft upgrades it's OS next?
You buy *all* new software! Ever try running Win 3.1 stuff under Win95?
Even DOS apps have problems.
Plus, there are problems with Win95 stuff running under WinNT. MicroSoft not
only "develops" another OS, but then requires you to buy all new software to
run on it.
Not too economically sound, IMO. There are plenty of good programs for OS/2.
There may not be a hundred clones to choose from, but those that are out
there are great.
