For anyone who didn't catch the details: Telstra now recommend the[ir] 0011 prefix for modem calls and have recommended *against* using the 0015 fax prefix for modem calls. Telstra recently upgraded their stand-alone Coherent and in-built S12 echo cancellers to be G.165 compliant. Some Telstra staff have been wondering about the G.165 compliance of their equipment for a few years at least, but the problems were only identified and fixed late in 1995 and early in 1996. So much for the blanket claim by the then AOTC to be supporting then CCITT Recommendations in their network... /-: --- msgedsq 2.1* Origin: Camelot Swamp MJCNA, Hawthorndene, Sth Australia (3:800/812) SEEN-BY: 50/99 78/0 620/243 623/630 624/300 711/401 409 410 413 430 510 808 SEEN-BY: 711/809 899 932 934 712/515 713/888 714/906 800/1 2 409 414 415 422 SEEN-BY: 800/427 442 448 449 805 806 809 810 812 814 816 822 841 843 846 858 SEEN-BY: 850/100 7877/2809 @PATH: 800/812 1 711/808 809 934 |
