Hi Wendy,
WB> I dropped the bobbin box the other day when it was open and what
WB> a mess!
Have you seen these hot pink boobin clips? They will hold the thread in
place on a wound bobbin. I've also sen bobbin boxes with a foam insert
to hold the bobbins in place. Those should help you keep the bobbins
together.
WB> just the opposite. Don't know what you could do about that except
WB> re-wind every spool of thread just enough to wind the bobbin each
WB> time--and that would be impossible! My brain must still be too
WB> little to be allowed to wander alone, I have weird thoughts like
I've never thought about things like that. My bobbins do pretty well,
except when I'm in a hurry. Then they want to get all messed up in
winding; do you realize how much thread a bobbin holds? Unwind it
sometime after you've wound it messy, it will surprise you.
WB> I don't suppose I'd be as tempted to buy it if I knew I'd have to
WB> part with it during the next move if I didn't finish using it!
WB> Might save us money but Tom's too old for the military! And
Mind you, I don't part with everything--by a long shot. I just dispose
of things I know I won't ever use or can be easily and inexpensively
replaced at our next place. Trouble with staying here longer is that
I'll packrat more & have a harder time cleaning out when I do have to
move.
RH> She has been better about patience than her sister; Deborah has been a
RH> go getter from the start and doesn't like to wait for things.
WB> Oh, so when *she* gets married are you going to be out of the
WB> country when dressmaking time rolls around? Not nice,
WB> am I? Mom said one time that I was the most impatient person
WB> she ever knew...after Dad! So we knew where I got it! hehe
Knowing her, she will elope & tell us about it later. I've no idea what
she will want to do when she gets married; hopefully she will want
someting simple & low fuss--time will tell. But, if she wants me to
make the dresses, I will & she will have to give me sufficient warning.
Catch you later,
Ruth
