I was a Kerry fan for several years, after hearing him on Imus (a radio
show) several times.  I honestly think he is not a bad choice.

As for the Electoral College, it is still doing its job of breaking the
national election into a bunch of smaller ones, where the individual vote
has more impact and it is harder to impose the "tyranny of the
majority".
