My thoughts on the concrete block on slab construction were particular to
the semi-tropical climate of FL (as well as the typical mobile home
footprint of 20-30 by 50-60') - might as well stop the bugs/rot in their
tracks if you're gonna do it right :-)

Timber and Post construction is good though, at least it appears to be
strong (as well as handsome from what I've seen in "Fine
Homebuilding" magazine over the years).

BTW, a few years back, they nailed (pun intended) Bob Villa on some
building code violations (or so it was reported) on his own house.
