Hi Pete, [Thus spake Peter Collis unto Sunny Leung:] SL> It's unlikely that generic Rockwell glue'n'go v.34 modems will SL> have split speeds working properly, if at all. Perhaps this SL> means that Maestros are more than just generic Rockwell? PC> Don't know much about Maestros apart from the earlier V.FC's had a few PC> problems though what maker didn't. That's probably true, although from a user's (dunno about sysop's) perspective the Microcom v.FCs were pretty good. SL> What I'm wondering is whether Netcomm v.34 modems do split SL> speeds. I can't remember the last time I got an asymmetic speed SL> connection with one. PC> Iv'e never seen a asymmetric connect to a M34F so maybe Netcomm don't PC> support it. I don't think I've ever had a split-speed connect with a M34F. It would be good to have less 26.4k M34F-USR connects people (incl. me) have complained about and more 28.8/26.4 or 26.4/28.8 connects. Sunny ... Okay, I pulled the pin. Now what?
