There's no way PSX will be out of the game. It certainly won't have the 
hardware capability of Katana (if that even comes out this year), but it's 
software library will be *far* better than Katana. (or N64 for that matter) 
As far as whether PSX2 can beat Sega, that remains to be seen. The Sega 
system will probably come out a good year or so before PSX2.
