PN> Well, that ain't no lady, that's my wife...
Now what will you give me not to tell her you said that?
PN> While stumbling around the national forest last weekend I gave the wife
PN> the long-neglected orientation on the .45 and the .380. The good news
PN> was that she done great. The bad news is that she done better than me
.
Sometimes those ladies can embarass us.
PN> So my conclusion is that we go shopping for a wheelgun. At the same
PN> time, I've decided that this .380 is gonna go. So it's a shopping
PN> spree. Unfortunately there's a budget issue, too.
At last! You've seen the light and come around to the true religion! :-)
It's no secret that I've always favored revolvers and one of the reasons is
just as you stated.
PN> A new compact _and_ a new Chief's Special, or whatever, ain't in the
PN> cards. Anybody with any thoughts on bargain compact firepower?
Don't overlook some of the older "obsolete" revolvers found at gun shows.
Dragon Lady's current favorite is an ancient break open S&W .38 (.38 S&W as
opposed to .38 Special). She used to be fond of a .38 Short Colt revolver
which had its barrel amputated to about 3 inches. Both of them fit nicely in
her purse and both "fit her hand". Both had adequate power yet were very
easy for her to control.
