I have not started looking into this yet, as I am still chatting
with Netcomm about the problem, and don't want to disrupt the
modem whilst they may be calling in.  

However, I can tell you that the x'91'/x'11' come in up to 3-6
seconds after the CONNECT message, and I doubt any S-register will
give such a massive delay in negotiating EC.  BFN.  Paul.
