You're welcome.

The documentation has been revised. Much better feel, now.

That's why I bought PB 3.0.

I've written a few utilities with PB, but there's an overhead of
15 to 20 Kb that I can't seem to get rid of - libraries & stuff. So
I use ASIC for the "throwaways" if file size is critical (less than
20Kb) and I don't need that tremendous PB flexibility.
SL> I know the new PB has pointers...

I agree with you on the pointers. It sounds like a wonderful tool,
but I'm not sure I need them. There was a lot of discussion about
pointers when PB asked for input in this echo some time ago. I don't
have any opinions there, because I've always used BASIC. Looked at
C/C++ a couple times, but the learning curve is horrendous when you
figure in the lost productivity time.

Hmmm. That is a hard question. Let me peruse my manual for a minute...
How about Optional Parameters in SUBs & FUNCTIONs? Haven't used it
yet, but it looks really handy for DataBase Applications.
How about Redirection of I/O?
And this one I HAVE used: the IDE has been cleaned up. There was a
bug in the way 3.1 handled large Block Moves that has been fixed. If
you're like me, this little fix went a LONG way towards making the
upgrade from 3.1 to 3.2 worthwhile. I'll write a routine, then discover
that it needs to be moved to another part of the BAS file for the sake
of readability & form. Now that the IDE works 100%, I'm happy! (Still
has the same look & feel.)
There was a minor bug in the File Sharing stuff that got fixed: don't
know what it was, but like the TSR problem, my stuff didn't work before
and now it does.
And if you decide not to upgrade right away, here's an idea. IMS, inc.
has updated Tom Hanlin's PBWiz. If you don't have PBWiz, you might get
all the functionality you need from there. IMS sells it for $99. I've
found it useful, fits my personal programming style. The PBLib
enhancements are very useful.
