This gov is becoming just about the least favorite bunch of crooks &
conmen the Mil has ever operated under.

You have this secretive theme which most thought (like socailism &
union power) "New" Labour had rid itself of which is it's
"Mil is evil so f*ck em".

As such you have Blair flinging troops & assets all over the world
& you have Brown & his cohorts doing everything they can to heave
money out of defence on principle.

e.g. now they're looking at moving RN ships into long term storage to save
money. Triffic till you wonder about how you'd re-crew those ships when
needed.

The problem is that the UK mil is being taken for a ride & is just
becoming aware of it.

Basic proposition of UK Mil:

"Can Do".

Basic Proposition of Blair/Brown Gov

"If Can Do, then Can Do with Less".

At some point there is going to be a really nasty Islandwahana /
"Black Hawk Down" moment & then the pols will all put on
their sad faces & talk about "learning lessons" while
actually relying on the public's short term memory.

& the families will bury the remains of their loved ones.
