puts("\033[2J"); is a DEC deviation from (or enhancement to)
the standard puts("\033[0J"); so the comment was invalid in any
event. The mnemonic is ED ... Erase in Display. Hex and ANSI are only
marginally on topic, so I'll quit while we're ahead. :-)
