What machine are you fitting this in.
If you have 4 megs in it now its likely its a 486 or at least a 386DX.
Neither of these machines will be able to take a single 1 Meg SIMM, they
will need to be installed in lots of 4. You may get away with installing 4
X 256K SIMMS to get an additional 1 MEG. Check your manual to see how the
SIMMS are installed, you may need to buy more.
