Jane Kelley On (10 Oct 96) was overheard to say to Jerry Schwartz
JK> JS>FAS and FAE (Fetal Alcoholic Effect) do have some symptoms which
JK> are similar JS>to ADD: we suspected my son had FAE and were rather
JK> surprised when the JS>diagnosis came back as ADD. Of course, when we
JK> realized that there are JS>treatments for ADD but not FAE we were
JK> thankful.
JK> Jerry, some docs consider ADD a form of FAS. Treatable, but the
JK> result of alcohol use in the family background.
Who are these "some docs"? And where in the medical literature can
this be found. You make a lot of bald statements that you obviously
expect everyone to take a face value...most of us have heard them
before..recognize them now as the ramblings of someone with an agenda
of their own.
JK> These kids respond better to dietary measures aimed at specific
JK> neurotrasmitters rather than drugs.
Proof is required for this statement..and don't quote Feingold as the
proof.
