Well, this sounds terrible, but last night I came up with something
to blame the VW32S.SYS failure on. The problem was that a boot up time,
when OS/2 was processing the "config.sys" file, the device driver
"VW32S.SYS" would not load.
The problem? I had a DIRTY operating system partition. By DIRTY, I
mean that I had the following necessary, but unwanted directories.
Nowhere1
Nowhere2
Nowhere3
Temporary Desktop
Temporary Desktop1
When removing these directories produced an unbootable partition, I
simply re-formatted the partition and installed OS/2 again. After that,
I installed Fix Pack 3, without any problems. So the initial Fix Pack 3
installation problem was NOT related to hardware.
