-= Pete Replied to Sunny Leung about: NEW 01/12/95 Code (For Aussie Courie =-

G'day Sunny

SL> BTW, what are those damned beep beep tones (you know, like the

PC> I think the're the v.8 CI tones, the 18/07/95 code had them but
PC> they were a pleasant warbling tone.

SL> Yep, I was told that the reversing-truck noises were v.8 CI
SL> tones. I had never heard of v.8 until recently. Do you turn the
SL> v.8 tones off or do you stick with listening to them when your
SL> USR is making a connect?

I have them turned on, that way i can pretend my Courier is a truck
and it's reversing over Simple modems. :-)

SL> Anyway, you may have read one of my other messages by now, but
SL> there's quite a lot of Courier development in the US e.g. a new
SL> SDL. Sometimes you wish USR or the Aussie distributor did a bit
SL> more for us Austel Courier owners.

Yeah i've heard there is now a 01/96 SDL out for the Domestic model.

SL> ... Send lawyers, guns, and money. The shit has hit the fan.

PC> hmm, not a Warren Zevon fan are you Sunny.

SL> Who's Warren Zevon? I nicked the tagline, you see :-)

A Singer/Songwriter, only song you might have heard would be "Were
Wolves of London" although he has heaps of other songs.
