   education. THe fewer the numbers of kids, the better you can educate
   the ones you have. Why do you think there is a disproportionate
   number of Jewish people in the arts, medicines, law, etc?
   Catholics now ignore the Church's ban on birth control by the
   millions. Catholic Quebec has the lowest birthrate of all Canadian
   provinces, below the ZPG figure. Political leaders there have taken
   to offering cash rewards to Francaise who bear more than one child.
   It's up in the thousands of dollars for the third and succeeding
   children. (The hidden catch is - only white Francaises need apply.
   They really don't want natives, blacks and orientals to apply.)
   As for Christians, they are such a motley crew that you can have the
   Shakers, who believed so strongly in no sex that they died out 
   right up to the ones who want their own home-grown baseball teams.
   I think a more useful division would be on income levels. Richer
   people tend to have fewer kids. Very poor people in most countries
   cannot afford artificial birth control, tend to lose over half their
   children to poverty and filth diseases, and want sons to look after
   them in their old age.
   Politics has replaced religion as the main force for keeping so many
   having children they can't afford, on an earth that similarly can't
   afford them. Part of this stems from an attitude exemplified by
   Hitler and his racial superiority theme. He encouraged Aryans to have
   many children - even to the point of setting up breeding farms. His
   policy of wiping out undesirable races and replacing them with his
   own superior race has been echoed faithfully in many countries across
   the globe. THE Hutus and Tutsis of Rwanda and Burundi are following
   Hitler's example.
