I wonder what happened to the STERO Behind satellite?  NASA has not updated that
since about November 21st.  So any new solar activity that shows is a
surprise and we have no knowledge of what may come as far as sun spots unless
there is a flare so large it can be seen by the "ahead" satllites.

We don't seem to be getting the wealth of information about solar conditions
from NASA and SOHO that we used to.

And while I'm at it I can't remember for at least one cycle back and maybe more
the emphasis on coronal holes.  Is this somthing new that they are studying?
Or do we see holes only at low sunspot cycle times?
