Hi Holly! Nice to hear from you. Checked my messages finally on this BBS.
Small world! I knew a Robert Recore very well -- think he graduated in 1953.
While I was on line, I was checking to see if I had the class list from the
class of '53 - Franklin Academy, and I have it some where. I have contacts
that can locate him if I can't find my class list. The other names ring a
bell. Recore is a very common name in the north country. The Robert Recore
I remember played basketball, and I think I have some pictures of him
somewhere. He would be about 62/63 years old now. As far as the SSDI (Death
Index) you won't find it there if they died and were not on Social Security.
You can call or write the Wead Library in Malone, nY and they can check
obituaries for you. I also have a very good friend in the funeral business
in Malone -- and I coul d (sorry about that error) have him check his files.
His Dad was the Coroner for many years -- now deceased, and the son, the one
I know took it over. I heard from him at xmas but not since then. I think my
friend and Robert Recore were in the same class -- Either 1951 or 1953. Will
try and check it out. My e-mail address on the Internet is:
Ameliahane@aol.com. It's been hard to get on AOL lately, and my times to try
it have been bad -- but I copied down your e-mail address. The Malone
Evening Telegram also takes stories/messages -- for people looking for
people. Write to the editor and they'll publish it. There was a list just
recently looking for class members for the Class of '72 and '77 - planning
big reunions, and they needed updates. Small world, right!
We're fine -- have two grandchildren now -- David and Samuel (ages 2 and 1),
and #3 is on the pocket for delivery on oct. 16. We work for our daughter --
the mother of the grandkids -- and she keeps us busy doing all of the
accounting for her business and I do all of the typesetting. Just finished
the aeroibc schedule for April, and I'm glad that's done. I had to upgrade
my computer and now have 2.6 gig hard drives space plus a backup drive for
storage. It's hard to keep up with what is out that. I just got a cockpit
unit to put everything in, and it's neat. Don't lose my e-mail address, and
you can reach me at this BBS or through AOL. If you need mailing addresses
for any of the places I told you about, let me know. I have a current Malone
telephone directory. Talk to you later! Marie
