Are you sure you only want RA rate tracking with some slight adjustments

Hi Tom
Yea, I've comtemplated this option quite a bit in fact.
However, I've invested a lot of time and money in the construction of a
sector drive that is also an integral part of my mounts design. It will
give me 70 deg of tracking, plenty enough for observing sessions yet not
enough to justify high speed slewing.
What's really fasinating here is the whole design process. I've really
enjoyed and have learned a lot from your web site and especially the
on-going design process that you have shared with us. In my case this is a
first time project conceived with very little knowledge of telescopes.
During the course of the past years building effort many lessons have been
learned, many options and upgrades have presented themselves, some easily
incorporated, some would require more major modifications of the design to
use and some just ask for a lot more time and money.
I've decided to complete the original design first, then I will make
decisions to either upgrade and improve what I have (based on its
performance) or move on and apply the new gained knowledge to the next
project.
Thanks LD
