Hi Vicki
WAS READING YOUR COMMENTS TO DEBBIE:
VN>DT> I can usually take the heat if the humidity is low. I've
VN>DT> overdone it and gotten sick twice in the last couple of
VN>DT> weeks. I bought some of those scarves that you soak in
VN>DT> water and they swell up and keep you cool, and really like
VN>DT> them especially if they spend a couple of hours in the
VN>DT> refrigerator before I go out.
VN> Buy some Gatorade or bottled water. FREEZE it. Take it with you;
you'
VN>have lots of cold liquids, and it'll cool you off.
After reading your messages between the two of you, I had to comment, I
really didn't realize you two were having as bad a time with the heat as
we are. And I'm sure working a horse is likely to fry brain cells not
only for the rider but for the horse as well, Hats off to you both, I
like spending time outside with the animals at my boyfriends Mom's ranch
But I just can't be real active when I am doing that.
VN> What a coincidence! My Chevy pickup just rolled over 223,000 miles
VN>today. I noticed it as the oil is due to be changed in 300 miles. But the
VN>compressor on the A/C locked up a few weeks ago, and that's the SECOND one
i
VN>26 years. So I am in the process of tearing it off and getting a whole
ew
VN>conditioner. I refuse to drive anything next summer with no A/C - well,
exce
VN>the CJ with the bikini top.
I've got another coincidence for ya, I too am a Chevy pickup driver-But
my pickup is a 93 Chevy S-10 extended cab and I have pretty low mileage
compared to you-You need to enter yours in the 100,000 mile club. But
it may have low mileage but that truck has gotten me through a semi-head
on/semi-T-bone accident(I tried to avoid but no time before the crash)
plus before that it got thru flooded Sacramento County streets and a
tire blow out on the freeway without rolling over. So, just wanted to
share that.
Marianne
