EK> > Wish I could move today, would love to hear Dr.Ritchie. can you tape
EK> > it?
EK>The club is taping his talk. I don't have adequate equipment to get a
qualit
EK>taping. But if you ask nicely, I'll post excerpts of the transcript of his
EK>talk!
I will hold you to that one. I am anxious to hear about it.
EK> > I want a ticket for the computer setup, let me know how much and I
EK> > will
EK> > send you the money.
EK>Tickets are $3 each or two for $5. I guess you'd have to pay for shipping
if
EK>it came to that, 'cause I don't think the club or the company donating the
EK>computer would spring for it. The other neat prize in the raffle is a
and
EK>knit sweater. I saw it and it's neat, except I wouldnt be able to get it
ove
EK>my head (it's made for a small woman....)
I will pay for the shipping email me and let me know the address to send
the $5 to. I guess that is you.
My Mom used to knit all our sweaters. I have one she made me that she
knit each sequin individually into it. If you remember how expensive
they were when they were in style and I wanted one so badly, she sat and
made it for me. That was therapy for her. Until she lost her sight and
the use of her fingers I do not ever remember her sitting still. She
could watch TV and knit at the same time and not miss a stitch and never
look down.
The two things I remember about her is her knitting and her love of
animals. In her later years I don't remember her without her beloved
Pety around. She would take a nap with Pety on her shoulder. Pety would
not budge until Mom woke up and then he got his treat. I used to tell
her how dangerous it was for Pety but they were like one. She would go
get her hair cut and forget Petys towel draped around her shoulders and
be embarrassed when the hairdresser asked her about it. Of course it was
covered with poop. How she loved all animals and they loved her. She
could not relate to humans so I guess God made up for it that way.
EK> > P.S. My builder had 5 black mask love birds hatch. They are 10 days
EK> > old
EK> > and eating very well he says. I have not seen them. When will they
EK> > be
EK> > old enough for him to play with? They are letting Momma and Daddy
EK>He should play with them a little bit now, and increase the playtime when
EK>they're fully feathered. Just make sure it doesn't stress out mom and dad
to
EK>the point where they toss them from the nest or stop feeding them.
Lovebirds
EK>can be funny that way. Remember, though, that even handfed masked
ovebirds
EK>turn nippy for the most part. So your "builder" should not expect
"puppydogs
They are playing with them but still dont know what they will do with
them. If I know him he will keep them all. He has a tiel and 2 peach
face now. I don't go near them as they came from a pet store and even
though they appear healthy I would be afraid of buggies for Meggie
although if she ask me for a peanut one more time tonight I will give
her to you. For some reason she won't shut up tonight. Usually she is
quiet. She has already convinced me she is a good girl and called Robert
and used her bad word and corrected herself and answered the phone and
now she must be wanting something. BED is what she will get.
I bought her a little dumbell with little red and yellow balls at each
end and she loves to hold it in her hand and play with it on top of her
cage.
Marty bought me some rice mix with black beans and veggies in it tonight
at our local store that home cooks stuff like that. Meggie loved it. She
leans over my shoulder to see what I have that her majesty would like
and of course she will get a taste of it. Spoiled, not in the least bit.
Thanks for getting me the ticket.
Diane
