So, now Bush says our troops will be in Iraq for years. It will
 be the job of his successor to decide when to remove them.

 We've been in this war for 3 years. Bush has 3 years left in
 office. So, Bush is saying we are only half way through this
 war. Bush is saying he's going to hand off the war to his
 successor.

 Now, isn't that what happened in Vietnam?
