The 1992 release Motorola Codex 326X series modems were upgradable to V.34, but I'm having a unit swapped over to something with a higher CPU/DSP clock rate and better line interface. Motorola ISG have been changing, with the Premier likely to be the last of the Thomson/Motorola based modems they produce. Future modems from Motorola ISG (Information Systems Group) will use modified AT&T chipsets. BTW, Motorola ISG's Steve Terry (02) 896 2712 gave me the contact details for the new Motorola ISG distributer, Megadyne: Richard Howard 0419 289 771, fax (047) 398 898. Richard is an ex-Telesys employee and informed me that Megadyne would honour all commitments made by Telesys. (Megadyne are the NZ distributers of the Motorola ISG products). (BTW, try getting the right Motorola or AT&T company by ringing directory assistance /-:. Motorola on 03 9213 7766 can provide the work number of their employees working in any Motorola company in Australia, but it helps to know the employee's name first). --- msgedsq 2.1* Origin: Camelot Swamp MJCNA, Hawthorndene, Sth Australia (3:800/812) SEEN-BY: 50/99 78/0 620/243 623/630 624/300 711/401 409 410 413 430 510 808 SEEN-BY: 711/809 899 932 934 712/515 713/888 714/906 800/1 2 409 414 415 422 SEEN-BY: 800/427 442 448 449 451 805 806 809 810 812 814 816 822 841 843 846 SEEN-BY: 800/858 850/100 7877/2809 @PATH: 800/812 1 711/808 809 934 |
