subject: War Vets Forgotten..Again

When I said I didn't vote, someone jumped in with the old saying
thank a vet for the freedoms we enjoy today...or something to
that effect...quoting as example WW1 & 2 and the Korea War.

All the wars mentioned had the reasons they started...and in no
way was voting ever a factor as being lost.

One must also look at the vet today and wonder which war they
represent? Not too many WW1 vets are around today to wave
that bumper sticker in your face...and the most of the WW2
guys are elderly and in hospital...so it must be coming from
the UN police action in Korea....which is not over...there
is a truce holding that war from starting...but no closure.

At Sunnybrook Hospital...our Government wanted to cutback
on services to the vets in residence there due to their war wounds.
NO ONE gave a dam! It was only after neighbour familys found out
that something was done....and the voters forgot this at election
time.

Where were YOU when certain vets were not getting their just rewards
for service rendered...such as the merchant marine service? Well
after quite a few died...the politicians quietly gave them a pension.
How nice...again the voters didn't take note.

I think there is enough examples of why I a son of a family where
all have been badly hit by war...feel as I do. And today
these same morons are rushing back to Ottawa, instead of honouring
the VETS of CANADA and the end of the war VE DAY! The public
will have their say...then forget it when it is time to vote.

I will look to see which party is left in Europe to honour my dead.
