Phew. I get worried all the time when I'm uploading new flash ROM code.
I killed my motherboard once when I upgraded its flash ROM with new code
- I had to send in my flash EPROM (whatever) to be reflashed properly.
It was an experience I'd rather not have again.

You are indeed playing with fire. I wish Online Communications would get
off their butts and persuade USR to give us some new Aussie Courier
code. It's something Online will have to do anyway, in order to catch up
with competitors selling modems with new features.
