M0 probably.  Works for all nominally Hayes-compatible modems.
M1 should have speaker only on while dialing, until connected.
M2 should turn it on all the time.
M3 (on some modems) is like M1, but is silent while actualy dialing.

L0-L3 or so should control speaker volume.
