I read these in a Woman's Day Magazine.
Take an old TV tray stand to hold your large lawn bag for putting in any
and all debris from the yard by: removing the tray, then put the bag in
between the legs and fold it over the top. This holds the bag for you
and then just lift out, tie the ends together, and dump. Saves loads of
time trying to fight with the bag. This trick I've used for many, many
years and didn't even read it - just thought of it myself.
Here are some handy one that I thought were clever:
INSTANT APRONS
The perfect thing for messy chores: Buy a box of plastic garbage bags
with built-in handles. Cut off the bottom of one of the bags to open
it, then pull over your head and put your arms through the handles. I've
tried this and it really keeps you clean. That is if you wear NICE
clothes to do your house work (knowing you're going to get THAT dirty
anyway). I use it for when I'm outside or maybe doing the attic or
basement.
BOOT HANGERS
To speed drying of wet boots and shoes - (nice coming out of the garden
and after washing off the boots - shoes or off the boat from fishing).
Use a wire coat hanger. Bend the hanger to form two loops. Put the
boots or shoes through the loops - sole side up, hang on a hook or nail
so the air can circulate inside and out. Directions: I take the hanger,
bring the center bottom up and over the part that goes over the rod.
Hope this little tid-bit helps you busy workers out there. If you try
them please let me know how it works for you - works great for me.
