  No argument! I, too, like Tom's, but the reason for preferring it should
be legitimate. IMHO, the stated reason wasn't. AAMOF, I'm seriously
considering dropping the other two in preference to Tom's (after some minor
changes, such as adding strdup()) in the next release.
