 My suggestion for a trainer that's easy to build and fly is the Great 
 Planes trainer series - the PT series are for raw beginners and the
 advanced trainers (like the T-40 and T-60) are for pilots with just a
 little experience.  Both series are easy and straight-forward building
 and GREAT flying.  Good Luck - let us know your choice and keep us
