Kay,
I find that if you call the temp agancies they tend to get off their duff
a little more quickly. Also, many positions are filled by calling the office
and talking to the office manager and asking if they have a position open. I
have gotten calls 8 months later for positions that I hadn't even applied
for, yet I had spoken with 'the powers that be', and they called BEFORE a
position was opening up. Example: I called the school where I am teaching,
and they called me several months later for a sub position....and now that is
working into a F/T position. Don't get me wrong, you still have to have the
qualifications for the position, and go through the interviewing process, but
it gives you a chance to actually talk to the people that you might be
working with later on........and of course, don't be afraid to call back and
touch base with them so they remember who you are.
I'm glad to hear that your Watkins porducts are selling well....but then
they usually do. I searched high and low for an old fashioned dustmop, that
wouldn't scratch my hardwood floors when I dust them. The only ones that are
full enough are made by Watkins.
Gotta' run for now....first F/T day at school.
Patti
