I used Maxthon for a long time. I decided to use ir when I learned that it
featured sorted history and search for Favourites, and the ability to
conveniently turn Activex on and off.   It's really not an independent
browser; it's more accurately called an IE overlay.

If you're not sold on Firefox (which I now use almost exclusively), then
Maxthon is a nice compromise to the plain IE.
