BB>You can't download an FTP address. You need a site to put your stuff up
BB>on. Your internet provider should be able to provide you with one, but
BB>it will cost you. If all you want to do is try it to see how it works,
BB>just load the html page in your viewer. Double clicking on it should do
BB>it. If you are running Win95 and have IE, this will work. That is how
BB>I tested mine before I ran it on the FTP site. Oh, make sure all of
BB>your links are in the same directory, including any graphics.
I am with you for the most part, but I do need to be able to upload my
work? And that would take some kinda FTP ultility? I have a dip stick
page set-up on Geocitites, for free all that come get 1 meg of space.
But I am working on a much bigger site, using pure HTML code and need a
utility to upload it to the provider. I have been told and found it to
be true that netscape can not handle the long path names that some
systems require, to get it to where it needs to be???
I understand FTP - File Transfer Protocol, but I also understand that
with out a utility to upload with, you are kinda lost as a goose in a
hail strom...
I can see how word can test your page/links, but for the life of me I
dont know how to upload my work?
Thanks - Raymon...
