I don't think that is a very good idea, Les. What you want is an
*immovable* connection to the case so the BNC can't rock at all. The
rubber washer, being flexible, would allow some rocking (which causes
the solder breakdown). The antenna *is* flexible so that will allow it
to bend instead.
When you hunt for the Loctite, remember that the very highest grades
will actually provide so much locking action that you may not be able to
remove the nut at a future time. Call Loctite for advice from one of
their application engineers. They have an 800 number. Call 1 800 555
1212 (800 information) to get it.
