Well, when I was running a Courier, I could connect to another
Courier (David Drummond's) at 33600 or thereabouts, and Bill's
Sportster connects to David Drummond's at 28800 all the time
too.

I think this says our lines are OK, assuming you have a similar
modem on each end.  Anyway, like I said, we're still gathering
