subject: talk and drive

-> it just is not safe to drive in heavy rush hour traffic or for
-> that matter to drive period with one hand on the wheel and a cell
-> phone at your ear.
That is a matter of opinion. It is no different driving down the road
with a cell phone to your ear than it was driving down the road with a
CB mike in your hand. Actually, it is less distracting because you
don't have to push a button to talk on the cell phone. Most people I
know can control a vehicle just as well with one hand as they can with
two in all but the most extreme emergency conditions. Your attention is
no less diverted talking on a hands free system than it is with a
standard phone, or for that matter carrying on a conversation with
someone else in the vehicle. I guess the next thing that will be
proposed is a law to ban all conversation in a vehicle while it is
moving.
This is just another example of the government sticking its nose in
where it doesn't belong.
