Don't bother to put it back in as you will not be able to tell the
difference between it in and out on the mirror.  Do as Hermit says and skip
it across the lake.  If the water is good and cold, you can even get it to
skip more than the typical 3-5 times!  Remember that cold makes water
harder and you get more skips when it gets cold.  I tmay even stay skipping
until next spring!
