My copy of dsz is registered...my thought on it is why re-invent the
wheel? besides, I've seen some pretty lousy implementations of zmodem
and dsz is not one of them. i've come to trust it over the years.

I wrote a door that would handle shareware type cd-rom discs for bbs's,
like downloading files, searching/listing/etc descriptions. normal bbs
type stuff. it was popular back when most bbs software was not
flexible enough to properly handle cd's but has tapered off now. plus
the fact that i burnt out on it didn't help for its demise. although
still a small core group left using it so i still support it. didn't
use any external libraries, in fact i started the door back in the
turbo basic daze so had to write my own comm code, since using open com
would drop dtr on closing of port which is not a good thing for a door
program to do. learned a lot writing it but must admit supporting
shareware programs gets old quick. I've decided its public domain only
from now on, and even not much of that. Too much to do with school and
work...

So what are your interests/specialties? Were you the one I saw said
worked for Telix? I must admit to you I think of early Telix when I
think of poor zmodem implementations...dunno if they ever fixed it or
not. Eric
