subject: problem with the `e` key

Hi STEPHEN (of 1:123/140),

Thanks for your offer to help! The problem was sorted out a few weeks
ago. Apparently, the keyboard mapping was inadvertantly set to FRENCH.
When the user set it back to ENGLISH (Canadian), that restored the normal
use of the "e" key.

The person (an elderly man) never could tell me what model his MAC computer
was, nor the OS version. He didn't understand that lingo. But I sent him
some basic/generic instructions about checking the keyboard mapping - and
that worked for him.
