They're both savvy methods of running it, Ed, particularly from a boot USB
sporting an .iso image in lieu of a wasted CD.  Better than a dual boot,

That's more than I did, Ed.  My practice is to search initially on YouTube,
to get the inside info from each horse's mouth.  :)

Funny you should mention that.  Once upon a time, I rang a guy's Fido
system in Florida using my you-beaut USR v.everything modem.  However, he
answered 'voice'.  (Turned out that he was waiting for the hospital to call
WRT his wife's condition, at the time.)  Anyhow, he got to talkin' in some
southern accent (I was only used to Californian, Montana or New Yorker
-speak) and I was doin' my best Aussie... well, long story short, we agreed
to hang up.  We each couldn't understand the other.  :)
