When this happens, look at the exact size of fareas.data. Also look at the
permissions and owner.
-rw-r----- 1 mbse bbs 61208 2006-02-21 21:26 etc/fareas.data
If there are problems, "mbfile check" can fix a lot of problems.
Also make sure you do this kind of maintenance as the mbse user.

Btw, the internal zmodem works better then the external one on some systems.

Could be rights too. It are, I see a bug in the source, I think the
FILE_ID.DIZ is there but the bbs isn't allowed to open it.
Creating tar archives for upload is tricky because of the unix sercurity
flags. With zipfiles there is no such thing so reading every file that comes
out a zip archive will allways work.
This one will be fixed tomorrow.
