Hi Penny!
-=> Quoting Penny Powers to Wendy Buchanan <=-
PP> Wow some kind of coincidence there huh! Not really.... there were
PP> tons of babies born on that day. I have never made paper flowers.
PP> Now I have made kleenex flowers, so it this on the same line or is
PP> it something else.
It's a bit different. But they are so pretty. The pattern and
directions was in a woman's mag and I couldn't resist it. My
sis tried to send me a dozen red roses on my 40th birthday and
the wire got lost en route, so I never got them. She said she
went back to the florist and the woman who'd waited on her was
so dumb...she didn't remember waiting on her at all, and then she
said "You must have changed your mind, I don't see any credit
card receipt here from you." Jana waved hers in the gal's face
and then the manager popped her head out and Jana waved to her
and said, "Over here, please! We need your help!"
Apparently once in a great while a wire doesn't reach its target
and Jana's just happened to be one of them. But that other gal
was so dumb--I said when Jana told me about it, "Her dipstick did
not quite reach the oil, huh?" And Jana said, "Wendy, she was so
dumb she didn't even *have* a dipstick!" hehehe! She sent me
the money instead of flowers and I bought myself a bright red tea
rose bush, so I still got my red roses!
I thought I'd not risk a wire going astray, and when I saw this
pattern and how pretty they looked I decided to make her these
instead. She's single and no sweetie will send her any nice
flowers so I will instead! She doesn't go out much, just works
her buns off most of the time.
PP> Well my brothers and sister are younger than I am and well I have
PP> only one sister too. We aren't close though. Infact I can
PP> honestly say I haven't heard from any of my brothers or sister yet
PP> this year. Not even for my birthday. It is a good thing my mom
PP> keeps me posted about the things my family is doing or I would
PP> never know.
My mother is the bulletin board for our family too. But Jana and
I keep in touch as much as we have time for. The boys both live
in town near Mom, but Jana's an hour and a half drive away from
there so she keeps me posted.
PP> Husbands can be very special... Sounds like you have a winner
PP> there. I finally heard from mine on Sunday. It had been almost a
PP> week I was really getting worried..
Bet he was busy, wasn't he? Mine is a winner but I know from
reading John's posts on another echo that he is too. Those were
a long time ago, I haven't been on there in a long time but I sure
remember how neat he is.
PP> Well I am planning so much.... I finally am going to order some
PP> fabric so that I can get some samplers doen for my living room in
PP> my new house. I really want some special pieces to make up for the
PP> years I have had nothing on the walls....
Don't you hate that? Tom had nothing on the walls when I got here
and turned bright green when he saw me with a hammer and picture
hooks, but he adjusted.
LadyBear Hugs,
Wendy
