In debian the package you need on the server machine is nfs-kernel-server,
the client machines are probably ready to mount an nfs directory without any
further ado aside from the entries in fstab.

 GKA> /home/ftp/new

In the example I gave any machine on the local network can mount those
directories. I'm not sure what wan networking is, you may need to work on
the commands a bit if it is different.

If your server is online at all times you could remove noauto from the
command and those directories will allways be mounted.

Yep, I have three directories exported that I access from different machines
and it gives me no trouble.

You may need to setup /etc/hosts.allow and /etc/hosts.deny as well.
