NO! You don't say!? Illegal? As in illegal aliens? Interested in freebies 
and not in this country? Color me shocked! Nay, flummoxed would be better. 
You're darn right they're in it for the freebies. When Congress passed the 
welfare reform laws making it illegal for even LEGAL resident aliens from 
getting most forms of public assistance, the numbers of applications to 
become Naturalized citizens skyrocketed. Why? It wasn't because of 
patriotism or a burning desire to become an American. It was to allow them 
to continue receiving public assistance.
If they refuse to take up arms in defense of this country, they cannot 
LEGALLY become citizens. It's one of the questions that is asked during the 
naturalization interview. That and if they were ever arrested for criminal 
activity.  However, those who are illegaly here don't give a hoot for this 
country, only that the welfare checks keep a commin'.
